A sustainable solution for surplus office furniture

We all have an obligation to be responsible to our environment and to assist in creating a circular economy. Every day, tonnes of surplus office furniture is dumped into landfill, reflecting the ‘take, make and waste’ way of operating. This is expensive, inefficient and harmful to the environment. Instead, at green furniture hub (GFH) we manage the redistribution of this furniture back to where it is needed. Why is this important? Check out our mission.

Our Mission

We’re on a mission to help create a zero-waste economy. We are committed to providing a sustainable, smart and creative solution for the reuse of surplus office furniture.

Strip-outs during office refurbishments create 63 tonnes of material per 1,000 m2. Yet barely 18% of these materials are recycled and just 2% are actually re-used. As an industry, we must do better than this.

“I was alarmed by the amount of waste generated by businesses in transition, from growth, downsizing, relocating or rebranding. The amount of perfectly serviceable office furniture which ends up as landfill is truly unacceptable. That’s why I founded green furniture hub. To make it easy for organisations to choose the sustainable alternative.”

– Rajiv Midha, Founder GFH, Director Goals A+N, corporate relocation specialist.

Get in the circle

Economic growth is tied to the consumption of the earth’s finite resources through a ‘take, make and waste’ model. Moving to a circular model, designed to eliminate waste altogether, is recognised as the only viable long-term solution. This creates new ecological, social and financial opportunities for small and large business, organisations and individuals, locally and globally. Including you.
